Terrence Hopkins

Judge, Appellate Court, Fifth District of Illinois

Terrence Hopkins received his B.A. from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1970 and his J.D. from St. Louis University in 1974. He was Franklin County State's Attorney from 1976-83 and a Circuit Judge in the Second Judicial Circuit from 1983-94. In November 1994, he was elected to the Appellate Court, Fifth District of Illinois. He earned his LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004. He died of a heart attack at the age of 58 in 2006.
